Emunah Creative Arts is a unique project operated by our older students at the Emunah Sarah Herzog Children's Center in Afula, together with a local artist. The programme is aimed at encouraging responsibility, creativity and teaching business skills to the children. Emunah Creative Arts provides our young artists with the opportunity to make some extra money, whilst also boosting their self esteem.
The young artists produce Judaic artifacts such as mezuzah cases, good luck charms, challah boards and additional items. These are currently marketed in Israel and overseas. The children receive at least 30% of the income from each item, whilst the remainder is used for the continuing upkeep of the 160 children served by the EMUNAH Centre for children at risk.
Amongst the primary goals of Emunah Creative Arts
- The young artists will develop an awareness of the value of work and it's results
- The young artists will develop useable working skills and responsibility
- The young artists will be empowered and their self worth improved
- The young artists are provided with the opportunity to express their creativity and initiative
