Today we open the vault to reveal our treasures. Ladies who came from Europe, England, U.S., South Africa and Australia Held together by the golden strings of Torah, Mitzvot, Tzdaka, Gmilut Chasidim. They shared our vision of Emunah - to help people, small children, and whoever is in need. Their generosity of spirit and funds is so much appreciated. We give them the honor they so richly deserve. Before president Obama, we said, "Yes we can". And now into the joyful nineties, we bring you the picture:
What is there to say about ageing? To search for a word? You know her well but the name doesn't come? Open the frig, what am I looking for? It happens so often, it has a name - 'senior moment'. It is a gift to be able to function beyond our biological age. Everyone forgets, we do catch up a little later.
We appreciate your wisdom, your acceptance of slowing down, your disdain of those, including doctors who say "what do you expect at this age?". Your answer is "how could I know, I just got here". Let us hope you all do too! Have you had this pain before, well now you have it again.
We love that you can still cook old fashion style with taste and ta'am.
We love that you remember all the wonderful family events. No one carries photos anymore - they look at their greats on the computer.
We love that you can still bake cookies (biscuits) for company without the worry about trans-fats and diets.
We love that you drink tea with milk in a china cup instead of a heavy mug.
We love that you feel like you are 60 and that you are taking the wishes of ad maya v'esrim seriously
We love that you think of those without and never fail to give donations
We love that you miss your husbands, brothers and sisters, old and true friends, and the faster pace of life and its endearing memories.
Let us wish you more of the same, allevay nisht erger, and that we have you with us for many more healthy and contented years.
