Vice Chairperson of Emunah and Head of the Family Department, Rina Wasserman, was nominated the chairperson of the Women's Organizations' Council in Israel. The Council represents the activities of over 10 major women's organizations, including WIZO, Naamat, Hadassah Israel, ORT Women, Bnot Brit and more. The council, established over fifty years ago, is a member of the International Council of Jewish Women (ICJW). The chairperson's position is manned in rotation between the representatives of the organizations.

Rina Wasserman, a mother of three residing in Givatayim, is a marriage counselor and has a master's degree in Social Work. It was her vision to establish Emunah's 13 Family Counseling Centers (Meitav) across the country. She is also in charge of Midreshet Emunah in Jerusalem, which provides training, workshops and support groups for widows and divorcees, including providing legal advice on personal status.

The nomination's festive ceremony was held at the American Zionist of America's hall in Tel – Aviv, in the presence of chairpersons of the women's organizations in Israel, board members and members of the international women's organizations. Mrs. Wasserman's deputy is Adv. Aviva Coleman. Mrs. Wasserman stated that she sees a big challenge in this position and that she would like to use it as a tool to promote projects related to women empowerment, volunteering, community work, welfare and education. "Our goal is to enhance and expand new initiatives and innovative approaches in matters of society and gender, combining leadership of young women". The event was accompanied by poetry reading and singing, performed by the very exciting and special singer Ori.
