The Scholarships award ceremony was held on Monday, Teveth 18th 5770 (4/1/2010), in the Menachem Begin Heritage Center.
The ceremony began by reading the 20th chapter of Psalms by Leah Singer, a student at Bet Elazraki Children's Home. Emunah's chairperson, Liora Minka and World Emunah's chairperson Dina Hahn congratulated the students and the donors. The ceremony was hosted by Mrs. Hannah Melamed, the Chairperson of the Scholarship Fund, and its guest of honor was the Minister of Social Affairs and Services, Isaac Herzog, Sarah Herzog's grandson.
Two additional scholarships for excelling students were donated personally by the Herzog family and were granted to Danielle Cohen from the Sarah Herzog Children’s Center in Afula and Mazal Karmiel from Neve Sarah Herzog in Bnei Barak.
Shani Melamed, a student at the Emunah's College, thanked the fund, its chairperson and the Herzog family for their care and aid on behalf of the students.
The participants enjoyed a spectacular dance show of the Neve Michael and Sarah Herzog Children’s Centers' groups, followed by a guided tour at the Menachem Begin Heritage Center.
