This adventurous group is hiking in the Golan for four days to raise money for Emunah projects in Israel.
Each day of the hike is dedicated to a different aspect of Emunah's work in Israel:
Alef - Emunah – Emunah battles poverty and violence through the care offered in its 5 children's homes, emergency center, crisis centers and infant emergency shelters.
Mem - Mishpacha – Emunah strengthens the Jewish family with parenting groups, family counseling centers and Midreshet Emunah for the study of women and the Jewish family. With over 130 day care centers throughout the country, providing working women with a safe, affordable solution for the daily care of their children. The 8 Multi-purpose day care centers incorporate family intervention services. Our day care centers in the South were a “safe haven” for the children during "Operation Cast Lead".
Vav - Vatikim - Our Golden Age Restaurant in Petach Tikvah serves meals to the elderly on a daily basis. These seniors “dine in dignity” and receive a delicious meal, a smile and a kind word.
Nun - Nashim - Emunah recognizes the importance of women's education. The Torah and Arts High School has recently received the Prize for Excellence and was awarded Number one High school in Jerusalem. The Emunah Appleman College of Arts and Technology located in Jerusalem provides talented young women with a warm supportive environment to develop their full creative and intellectual potential. Emunah Torah Centers (Batei Midrash) develop women's spiritual and educational growth with classes that enrich the Jewish soul.
Hey - Hamaytav - Crisis counseling centers located in Kiryat Arba and Sderot work together with the local communities providing family counseling, crisis intervention and courses to strengthen the family unit.
We congratulate this determined group of individuals for their dedication and efforts on behalf of all of Emunah’s projects.
