Mrs. Evelyne Paluch, the Vice Chairperson of World Emunah, visited Emunah Antwerp and had two interesting meetings, both of which were arranged by Mrs. Lidya Balken, the secretary of Emunah Antwerp.

1: Meeting with a group that plans to build a Midrasha in Antwerp


1: First Meeting: with the group planning to build a Midrasha.

Evelyne Paluch's idea was to establish a monthly Midrasha - Midreshet Hachodesh, integrating young people into the foundation committee and contacting the group of young women that she met last year. The ladies were very happy and excited with the idea.

Mrs. Magda Halevy, from World Emunah, who has a lot of experience with building Midrashot, will develop this project.

2: Second Meeting: with the Committee of Mrs. Spitzer, President of Emunah Antwerp

The whole committee was present with the exception of Mrs. Spitzer and Mrs. Fink, who were in Israel.

The topics discussed were:
1: Restoration of the Maon in Ashdod. The second stage, the garden and the playground – cost: ILS 50.000.

2: Modiin: Day of Relaxation in the Family Center

Emunah Antwerp has a Day Care Center in Modiin, and a Family Center that has been opened in the evenings.
During the recent war in the south, Rina Wassermann initiated a joint project with the Family Center of Nizan. Fifty women from Nizan, who had been relocated from Gush Katif, were taken out for a day of relaxation, far away from the missile attacks.
The event, which was sponsored by the money Emunah Antwerp sent to Israel during the war, was a big success.

3: Modiin: Family Center
Evelyne Paluch received information material from Rina Wasserman, the Vice Chairperson of Emunah Israel, and explained to the committee the importance of the wonderful work the family center is doing, and the necessity of raising money for this project.

Emunah Antwerp held a Tea Evening on 4th March 2009, and we all wish them good luck and success.
