A New Emunah Beit Midrash opens in Gutenberg, Sweden

Translation of letter from Nurit Jacobson to Adv. Dina Hahn

Shalom!

With hopes for continuing success, we opened this evening the Emunah Beit Midrash in Gutenberg, Sweden.

Just 2 months ago we met here in Gutenberg, and we were delighted to hear your advice about opening an Emunah Beit Midrash in the city. Tonight this wonderful idea was implemented.

Today a monthly shiur was established with the teachers from the different Jewish institutions in the area: Schools, Jewish day care centers and the night school. 11 female teachers took part in the shiur as well as 2 male teachers.

The meeting was dedicated in honor of the victims of the Mumbai terrorist attacks. Afterwards, there was an explanation about the Emunah organization and its activities both in Israel and abroad. Then we discussed the upcoming holiday of Chanukah. With the completing of the in depth study of the holiday and the subsequent communal discussion, the teachers were given the opportunity to test their Chanukah educational tools and to brainstorm about further possible activities for their students.

At the end of the meeting it was decided that the teachers will gather every month to hear a shiur about the subjects that are related to the current month and to discuss together with their colleagues how to best teach their children.

We are very thankful to you, and the women of Emunah for the incentive that you gave to us to start this project.
With best wishes,
Aryeh and Nurit Jacobson
