World Emunah Chairperson Dina Hahn visits Scandinavia and Germany
World Emunah together with the World Zionist Organization Department for Religious Affairs in the Diaspora maintains a network of over twenty Batei Midrash for women all over the world. Local women together with shlichim from Israel have built programs based on Jewish and Zionist values, covering a wide range of subjects, all with the view of creating harmony between the roles which women play within the Orthodox community, strengthening the members' relationship with Israel and creating a welcoming environment for women within the local community to come to learn.
With the start of the New Year Adv. Dina Hahn, World Emunah Chairperson spent two weeks visiting our Batei Midrash in Copenhagen and Sweden as well as investigating the possibility of opening new Batei Midrash in Norway and Germany. In a whirl-wind tour Dina gave shiurim in Malmo, Stockholm, Copenhagen, Oslo and Munich. She spoke of "Female Initiative and Women's Power as Described in the Torah and Nevi'im" – "Women in the Early Stages of the Creation of Am Yisrael." Dina focused on Sarah Imeinu and Miriam the Prophetess who have given us the best examples of "Active Faith" – thereby setting the role models from women of Am Yisrael throughout history and ensuring the continuity and existence of our nation. Today the women of "Emunah" walk in their footsteps working tirelessly for the betterment and continuity of Am Yisrael.
During her visit to Munich and Oslo, Dina met with different members and rabbis of both Jewish communities and we very much look forward to the speedy establishment of two new Batei Midrash.
