The Opening of the "Isidore Feld Counseling Center" in Kiryat Arba

On Sunday, October 19th – 5th day of Chol Hamoed Sukkot, Alan and Rochel Feld, together with members of their extended family, visited the newly opened "Isidore Feld Counseling Center" in Kiryat Arba. The family were greeted by Zvi Katzover, Mayor of Kiryat Arba – who spoke about the demographic and social make-up of the population in Kiryat Arba, a high proportion of which are new and not- so- new immigrants from the former USSR, Ethiopia, Bnei menashe and about their specific needs, aswell as those of families in need of counseling due to traumas, illness, poverty etc. The mayor thanked the Feld family for their important contribution to Kiryat Arba, and spoke of Emunah and Kiryat Arba as being close friends throughout the years (we have a DCC in Kiryat Arba) The Director of the Center , Michal Raanan-Volloch, showed the group around this beautiful facility which has been equipped and furnished in a way to create a homely surround for those coming to this small haven for assistance and guiding.

The Felds also took this opportunity to have a belated barmitzva celebration for their son, Ben-Zion. Emunah of America arranged for "Ulam Yaacov" in Mearat HaMachpela to be used for the Feld family for davening – and Ben-Zion made his parents and family very proud by his perfect reading of the Torah!

Touring around Gush Etzion completed this wonderful day for the Feld family.
