The Vaad Hapoel of Emunah met recently in Sderot as an act of solidarity with the residents. Under the heading, “We Are All Brethren,” the participants heard several lectures on themes of current concern, and several business matters of the organization were discussed. Emunah announced that it will enlarge its activities in the southern part of Israel by establishing additional day care centers, increase cultural and welfare activities and enlarge its family counseling network in the area. The Vaad Hapoel called on the government of Israel to implement its decisions to provide aid and assistance to Sderot and the neighboring settlements.
The appointment of the new vice-chairperson of Emunah-Israel, Rina
Wasserman, was ratified as well. Rina, who heads Emunah’s Family Department, will now also assume the responsibilities of vice-chairperson of the organization.
