The Vaad Hapoel called on the Israeli government to implement immediately its decisions to enhance the special assistance programs to Sderot and the neighboring settlements.

Liora Minka, chairperson of Emunah-Israel, criticized the government in that it had not found the ways and means of assisting and strengthening the population in these areas.

During the first part of the Vaad Hapoel, there was a lively panel discussion with audience participation about the role of the media and how it reports from areas hit by rockets, as well as the link between the reality and the information that actually reaches the rest of the Israeli population.
