Emunah has received the highest recognition from the State of Israel for its special contribution to Israeli society, the State of Israel, and Status of Women issues.

Emunah, together with WIZO and Naamat, will be awarded the Israel Prize this year for their special contribution to the State of Israel and Israeli society.
Minister of Education Prof. Yuli Tamir informed Emunah Chairperson Liora Minka of the selection of Emunah as a recipient of the award.
Emunah in Israel marked its 70th anniversary last year. Its activities center primarily on education and social welfare, strengthening the family unit, and cultural and chesed programs.
Emunah strives to empower the status of religious women in Israel society, to enlarge the boundaries of women's influence and strengthen the Jewish and Zionist character of the State of Israel.
The head of the organization for the last seven years is Liora Minka, educator and former lecturer at Bar-Ilan University and at its annex in Ashkelon, as well as former member of the Tel Aviv-Jaffa municipality. Among other positions Liora was the first woman member of the Religious Council in Tel Aviv to represent the religious establishment in the city, The first chairpersons of Emunah were the late
MKs Tova Sanhedrai-Goldreich and Sarah Stern-Katan. After them Yehudith Huebner, former Israeli ambassador to Scandinavia and presently the president of Emunah-Israel, as well as Rochel Sylvetsky served as chairpersons of Emunah-Israel.
Over 10,000 children and youngsters from all walks of life are cared for and educated in Emunah's educational network, which includes 130 day care centers and multi-purpose day care centers, 5 children's villages and homes, crises and emergency centers for children at immediate risk, 6 high schools, the Emunah College, 13 family Counseling Centers (with the last recently opened in Sderot), Batei Midrash and Community Centers for women's activities.
Emunah also operates the Bat Ami National Service together with Alumah.
World Emunah, based in Jerusalem, maintains contact with Emunah sister organizations and Jewish communities around the world in order to strengthen religious Zionist orientation.
