On Tuesday, November 20th, 2007 it was a cold, stormy day in Israel. But that didn't prevent Executive Vice-President of Emunah Canada, Roslyn Schneidman, and a terrific Young Leadership mission, from coming to Neve Michael Children's Home in Pardes Hana, Israel.
The warmth that emulated from them lit the hearts of the children and brought a festive feeling of the upcoming Hannukah holidays.
Hava Levene and Amber Hollander, a girl from Toronto who is doing her second year of national service in Neve Michael, spoke to our esteemed visitors from Canada about the many programs and innovative therapies used to help the children of Neve Michael break the vicious cycle of distress.
Neve Michael has been chosen by the Welfare Department to operate a Therapy Counseling Unit and a Teenage Girl Crisis Center. We are very proud of these achievements. There are buildings that are being renovated for these unique projects.
After visiting the family units and seeing how our children live and how much they are loved, everyone gathered in the dining room for a delicious meal accompanied by the children and 25 Bnei Menashe children. Dina, an unbelievable Bnei Menashe girl sang two beautiful songs. Josh Laufer entertained and our children had a wonderful time dancing and singing with our guests.
Many thanks to Roslyn and the wonderful Young Leadership mission from Canada for coming to Neve Michael and touching the lives of our children. Thank you so much for continue to help us and care.
Thank you for kindling the souls of our children. It will give you a lifetime of warmth and happiness.
