EMUNAH JERUSALEM TAKES SDEROT CHILDREN TO KEFTZUBA
In line with our policy at Emunah to give a helping hand to our brethren in need whether it be Gush Katif, Sderot, Kiryat Shemona or welfare cases, Wednesday October 17th marked a day of helping Sderot. Volunteers and staff met 4 busloads of kindergarten children, ganenot, metaplot and parents at Kef Tzuba to give them a day's relief from being bombarded by kassamim and being cooped up in bomb shelters. Indeed a kassam fell in Sderot that very morning before the children left Sderot.
It's hard to find a word to describe the exuberance of the children as they spilled off the buses to spend a day relaxing and letting off their energy on the bouncing castles, bumping cars, train and other rides. The Emunah volunteers brought with bags of new clothes and toys which had been donated by our members.
The light shone from the children's eyes straight into the hearts of the Emunah ladies who had come to welcome them, making them realize that they had become partners in a worthy and important cause. A wonderful and memorable day was had by all.
