Bar - Bat Mitzvoth Celebrations in Emunah Children's Homes
This past month, Achuzat Sarah, Emunah Sarah Herzog Children's Center in Afula, Neve Michael and Beit Elazraki held their annual Bar and Bat Mitzvah celebrations. Nearly 100 children reached this momentous occasion, officially becoming young adults. Each event featured presentations, speeches and Divrei Torah. The highlight of each ceremony was the special show put on by the Bar and Bat Mitzvah youth. At each event there was a special honoree, who received this distinction because of their support and dedication to the children's homes.
Daphne Kaufman passed Chairman of British Emunah was honoured by Sarah Herzog in Afula.
The Lady Jakobovits, wife of the former Chief Rabbi of Great Britain and Honorary President of British Emunah was honored at Beit Elazraki where she gave a very moving address the children. Achuzat Sarah honored Yizchak Meir, a graduate of the home, who was to become the Israeli Ambassador to Switzerland and Belgium. Also honored was Lilo Na'aman, a dedicated patron of the home.
